SURFER GIRL

Design for a fountain sculpture. Requested by a client with a passion for Surfing and.. and you got it, girls:).

The pool is underlit and lined with tiles made of light green- brushed glass, an adjustable jet flow runs the waves past the front of the board ( hidden levers under the back of the board spray the water up in a tail when the pressure is turned up.).

ball point pen and colored pencil

Old, but fun. Sold on E-bay I think for 50 bucks.

UK you, UK me.

Just a bit of late night playing around in photoshop over an old doodle(well not to old,).
Most likely a better way to have handled this would have been importing it into "Painter" program and utilizing wet on wet of the watercolor variant/tools.
. . .I'll try that in the future for sure.

Something cool though about unfinished digital sketches.
Like" Hal" or "Data" doing a painting of a painting.

It'll be interesting to see the brave new world of all art one day created by computerized programing and silicon souls.
..er- not.:)

Here's a small oil sketch, about 2 hours of slap dash. I need to hide that tube of white or paint less turbulant water next time.

..oh yeah, and also always do a second painting of the reverse angle so when I get home both sides of me are equally sunburned.:)

The last of the three doodle storyboards. Obviously at this point our hero has not only fully formed but has saved the world several times and even decided it time's to practice " the high speed bunny mombo" with a likely looking candidate. Colored pencil on xerox copy paper, pentel fineliner and warm gray 30%.
